# Why can't the assets of the futures account be read?

First: Confirm whether the 3 permissions of the API have been opened: Enable Reading, Enable Spot & Margin Trading, and Enable Futures. Do not open other permissions.

Secondly: The user must open a futures account and complete the futures risk notice test, so that the assets allocated to the USDⓈ-M futures account can be read and can be traded.
